Wine competition entries are $15.00 per entry.
Deadline for entries is March 6, 2009.

This amateur wine competition, sponsored by Presque Isle Wine Cellars, is a very well organized and run competition.  The judges are very knowledgeable and are certified wine judges, some being professionals in the wine industry.  A medal from this competition is a very prestigious award.  I have judged for them many times over the years and can vouch personally.

The conference portion, open to anyone interested in learning more about wine (you don’t have to be an amateur winemaker or have entered the competition), covers a range of topics near and dear to the hearts of wine lovers everywhere.  The Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Wine Society sponsors this portion and, with all of their incredible accumulated knowledge, always provides great programs.

In addition to the seminars, there is a Showcase of Wines where you will be able to sample wines from various wineries and distributors that are located throughout the U.S.

This is a highly recommended event.
