Our third stop was at Grey Wolf Cellars (www.greywolfcellars.com). Walking up the stone walkway to the tasting room, I couldn't help but wonder how the dog felt about having it's paws make tracks in the wet concrete when they were building the place (I am pretty sure it wasn't a wolf, but you never know. I didn't ask).
The standout wine here was the 2007 "Southpaw", which is a blend of Marsanne, Roussane, Viognier, and Grenache Blanc. Considering Paso Robles is a premier red wine area due to the heat (and, of course, various other reasons), it was delightful to find such a lovely white wine.
